OUR STORYTELLERS
The staff is a very important part of any game. The right staff member can help new players learn to love LARP and continue to play for years to come, while the wrong staff member can make a veteran player go into retirement. Having to small of a staff can hurt the game play and the involvement of everyone, and having a large unruly staff can lead to rouge storylines and infighting. Finally having a staff without rules, guidelines, gamer ethics, and cohesive communication will lead to the games ultimate failure and pour reputation.
I approach running a LARP game as I do running a business. My staff are paid employees who are there to do the job that I have asked of them, but make no mistake, they love what they do and are eager to provide an amazing experience for every player. The staff is attempting to provide a quality product to players who are our consumers. All of you pay us for the product we provide in your enjoyment, promotion of the game, and good sportsmanship. Everyone on my staff is a storyteller. I do not like using narrators as they are very limited in their capabilities to provide an enriched scene for the players. Each staff member has the full capability to operate storylines, run mass or small combat, play NPCs, help with character creation, make important IC and OOC decisions, answer OOC questions, and provide a safe gaming environment.
Staff Ethics
~ Each Staff member will remain as fair as possible in any given situation.
~ No staff member will play a personal PC in the game. This is to avoid having a staff member abuse their power to protect their character.
~ No staff member is allowed to run a scene for a significant other or family member that may result in the players death without having a second ST involved in the scene.
~ Player issues brought to the staff will remain confidential within the staff only.
~ Each staff member will do the best they can to remain area experts in the roles they have been given as staff members.
~ No staff member will bring OOC drama to the game, or post it on the group or forum pages.
~ No staff member will bring old grudges to the game and make the game hostile for any player.
~ No staff member will come to the game intoxicated, promote drug use, or bring contraband to the game site.
~ No staff member will speak ill of an other game or gamer while on duty at the game site or acting in an official capacity for the game.
~ No staff member will abuse their power in order to retaliate against any player character for any reason.

I'm the Head Story Teller of The Dream and creator of the Vision of Darkness brand. If your new and don't know me here's my brief gaming history: I have been LARPing for 20 years and table top gaming for 24 years.
